Configuring Helix DAM after manual deployment
The following information only applies to manual Helix DAM deployment. Do not follow these steps if you are using the automated deployment.
When Helix DAM manual deployment is complete, you need to perform the following configuration tasks.
Configuration
The following steps are all performed in the Helix TeamHub admin UI except step 4. See Logging in to the Helix TeamHub admin UI.

Configure a hostname for Helix DAM. See Setting the Helix DAM instance hostname.

Enter an email address to use for all outgoing Helix DAM emails and in links to email your support team throughout the application. See Setting the Helix DAM email address.

Set up Helix authentication. See Setting up Helix authentication.

Reconfigure Helix DAM to apply the server changes. See Reconfiguring Helix DAM to apply server configuration changes.

Connect Helix DAM to Helix Search. See Connecting Helix DAM to Helix Search.

Verify that Helix Search is running on the Helix DAM page. See Configuring Helix DAM settings.

Install Helix Core Server extensions. See Configuring Helix Core Server extensions.
Verification

Log in to Helix DAM using your Helix Core Server credentials to make sure you can connect. See Logging in to Helix DAM.
- Verify that you can see users from Helix Core on the Users page. See Manage users and groups in Helix Core Server and Manage users.
User management
Add users who need access to Helix DAM. See Create users. You can also give existing users access to Helix DAM. See Give Helix Core users access to Helix DAM.
