Configuring P4 DAM settings

In the P4 DAM settings, you can view the P4 Search URL configured for your P4 DAM installation, access the P4 Search interface, connect P4 DAM to P4 Search, and set maximum file sizes that can be displayed in P4 DAM.

1. Log in to the Perforce TeamHub administrator UI. See Logging in to the TeamHub admin UI.

2. Click P4 DAM.

   The Configure P4 DAM page opens.

3. Review or change any of the settings.

P4 Search

The P4 Search section displays information about your P4 Search installation and lets you connect P4 DAM to P4 Search.

• P4 Search URL - If P4 Search was configured correctly during deployment, the URL is displayed. Click the URL to open P4 Search.

• Status - Displays the status for various components required for P4 Search. Click Status to refresh the status.

• P4 DAM configuration for Elasticsearch in P4 Search - Displays the values configured in P4 DAM to allow communication with the Elasticsearch instance configured for P4 Search. Any issues are displayed in red. Click Configure to automatically fix any issues. You need to do this any time the P4 Search configuration changes. Click Status to refresh the displayed values.

File preview thresholds

The File preview thresholds section lets you specify the maximum file size that can be displayed as a preview in the P4 DAM web interface for each file type.

1. Change any of the maximum values. The values are in MB.

   If a file is larger than the specified threshold, the user is prompted to download the file to view it in the P4 DAM web interface.

2. Click Save to save the changes.

3. Click Run reconfigure to apply the server configuration changes. See Reconfiguring P4 DAM to apply server configuration changes.
