Installation and setup

This topic explains how to integrate Helix Plan with Jira Server. This integration is deprecated and will be discontinued in the near future. If you use Jira Cloud or Data Center, see the Jira integration documentation.

Before using the Helix Plan Jira integration in your production environment, we recommend testing the integration using a test Helix Plan server and a sample Jira project. This makes implementation easier and reduces the amount of changes you may need to make in the production environment.

Prerequisites

The following components are required to use the Helix Plan Jira integration.

  • Helix Plan server with the SDK module enabled for your license. Contact Perforce Support for information about licenses.
  • Helix Plan for Jira plugin, which is available in the Atlassian Marketplace
  • Helix Plan Jira integration hosted on a Windows computer. See the Helix Plan server system requirements.
  • Jira Server or Jira Data Center. The integration is not supported for Jira Cloud.
  • Jira Agile app, which lets the integration sync Helix Plan sprints and releases to versions in Jira. The app must be installed, but does not have to be loaded in projects if you are not using it.
