Navigate the user interface

When working in P4 DAM, you can access common actions and elements in the header wherever you are. In addition to clicking buttons, you can take some actions by using keyboard and mouse shortcuts.

To return to the P4 DAM home page, click the logo in the upper left corner of the page. See P4 DAM home page.

Search field

Enter criteria in the search field to find assets and asset bundles. To narrow your search, click Filters.

Help menu

Click the Help button in the page header and select an option:

Action	Instructions
View the P4 DAM help documentation.	Click and click Documentation.
View the P4 DAM, P4, P4 Search, and Elasticsearch versions.	Click and click About.
Restore tutorials that are no longer displayed on the home page. Tutorials are hidden if you select the option to hide them. See Tutorials.	Click and click Restore tutorials.

Notifications list

Click the Bell button in the page header to view notifications from users tagging you in comments or adding you to reviews. An indigo dot on the Bell button indicates that you have new notifications.

User menu

Click the Profile button in the upper right corner and select an option:

Action	Instructions
Edit your name, password, and generate personal P4 DAM API tokens.	Click Profile.
Manage licenses and company workflows, configure project settings, edit company metadata, manage users, and add webhooks. These options are available only to company administrators or super users. See Manage company settings.	Click Company settings.
Switch to the Perforce TeamHub interface. This option is available only if you have access to TeamHub and you are in the P4 DAM interface.	Click Go to Helix TeamHub.
Switch to the P4 DAM interface. This option is available only if you are in the TeamHub interface.	Click Go to P4 DAM.
Log out of P4 DAM. See Log out of P4 DAM.	Click Log out.

Right panel

The right panel contains the Comments, Links, and Details tabs. You can expand your view of an asset or asset bundle item by hiding the right panel. The right panel remains hidden until you show it again or until your session ends.

To hide the right panel, click the Hide right panel button . To show the right panel, click the Show right panel button .

Keyboard and mouse shortcuts

You can use keyboard and mouse shortcuts to work more efficiently in P4 DAM. For example, you can use shortcuts to select and run actions on multiple assets and asset bundles simultaneously.

Action	Windows and Linux	macOS
Select individual assets and bundles or clear the selection.	Press Ctrl and click the assets and bundles.	Press Cmd and click the assets and bundles.
Select all assets and bundles between two selected assets and bundles.	Press Shift and click the first and last assets and bundles.	Press Shift and click the first and last assets and bundles.
Select a group of adjacent assets and bundles.	Click and drag across the assets and bundles.	Click and drag across the assets and bundles.
Select all assets and bundles displayed on the page.	Press Ctrl+A.	Press Cmd+A.
Clear the selection of all assets and bundles.	Press Esc.	Press Esc.
Exit a pop-up window.	Press Esc.	Press Esc.
