Using the P4 DAM interface

When working in P4 DAM, you can access common actions and elements in the header wherever you are. You can also use shortcuts to perform actions.

To return to the P4 DAM home page, click the logo in the upper left corner of the page. See Using the P4 DAM home page.

Search field

Enter criteria in the search field to find assets in P4 DAM. To narrow your search using various criteria, click Filters.

Help menu

Click the help icon in the upper right corner of the page and select an option.

  • Documentation: View the P4 DAM help.

  • About: View the P4 DAM, P4, P4 Search, and Elasticsearch versions.

  • Restore tutorials: View tutorials on the home page. Only available if the tutorials are not displayed on the home page. See Tutorials.

Notifications list

Click the bell icon in the upper right corner to view notifications from users tagging you in comments or adding you to reviews. A dot indicates that you have new notifications.

User menu

Click your avatar in the upper right corner and select an option.

  • Profile: Edit your first and last name, change your password, and generate personal P4 DAM API tokens.
  • Company settings: Opens company settings to:
    • Manage licenses.

    • Configure project settings.

    • Edit the metadata fields available for P4 DAM assets.

    • Manage users.

    • Add webhooks.

    • Manage company workflows.

    The settings are only available if you are a company administrator or super user. See Manage company settings.

  • Go to Helix TeamHub: Switch to the Perforce TeamHub interface. Only available if you have access to TeamHub. To switch back to P4 DAM from TeamHub, click Go to P4 DAM.
  • Log out: Log out of P4 DAM. See Logging out of P4 DAM.

Keyboard and mouse shortcuts

You can use keyboard and mouse shortcuts to work more efficiently in P4 DAM. For example, you can use shortcuts to select multiple assets simultaneously and perform actions on them.
