Navigate the user interface

When working in P4 DAM, you can access common actions and elements in the header wherever you are. In addition to selecting buttons, you can take some actions by using keyboard and mouse shortcuts.

To return to the P4 DAM home page, select the logo in the upper left corner of the page. See P4 DAM home page.

Search field

Enter criteria in the search field to find assets and bundles. To narrow your search, select Filters.

Help menu

Select the Help button in the page header and select an option:

View the P4 DAM help documentation.	Select and select Documentation.
View the P4 DAM, P4, P4 Search, and Elasticsearch versions.	Select and select About.
Restore tutorials that are no longer displayed on the home page. Tutorials are hidden if you select the option to hide them. See Tutorials.	Select and select Restore tutorials.

Notifications list

Select the Bell button in the page header to view notifications from users tagging you in comments or adding you to reviews. An indigo dot on the Bell button indicates that you have new notifications.

User menu

Select the Profile button in the upper right corner and select an option:

Action	Instructions
Edit your name, password, and generate personal P4 DAM API tokens.	Select Profile.
Manage licenses and company workflows, configure project settings, edit company metadata, manage users, manage bots, and add webhooks. These options are available only to company administrators or super users. See Manage company settings.	Select Company settings.
Switch your P4 DAM Theme to Light, Dark, or System. The default is System.	Select Light, Dark, or System.
Log out of P4 DAM. See Log out of P4 DAM.	Select Log out.

Right pane

The right pane contains the Comments, Links, and Details tabs. You can expand your view of an asset or bundle item by hiding the right pane. The right pane remains hidden until you show it again or until your session ends.

To hide the right pane, select the Hide right pane button . To show the right pane, select the Show right pane button .

Keyboard and mouse shortcuts

You can use keyboard and mouse shortcuts to work more efficiently in P4 DAM. For example, you can use shortcuts to select and run actions on multiple assets, folders, and bundles simultaneously.

View the previous item in the collection while viewing an item.	Press Alt+left arrow.	Press Option+left arrow.
View the next item in the collection while viewing an item.	Press Alt+right arrow.	Press Option+right arrow.
Select individual items or clear the selection.	Press Ctrl and select the items.	Press Cmd and select the items.
Select all items between two selected items.	Press Shift and select the first and last items.	Press Shift and select the first and last items.
Select a group of adjacent items.	Drag across the items.	Drag across the items.
Select all items shown on the page.	Press Ctrl+A.	Press Cmd+A.
Clear the selection of all items.	Press Esc.	Press Esc.
Exit a pop-up window.	Press Esc.	Press Esc.
