Using the Helix DAM home page
When you log in to Helix DAM, you will see the home page. You can quickly access tutorials, recent assets, browse assets to find what you need, and access the project you are working on.
To go the home page from anywhere in Helix DAM, click the logo in the top left corner.
Tutorials
Helix DAM tutorials are displayed in the Tutorials section on the home page.
View tutorials
Click a tutorial to view it. The tutorial opens in a new browser tab.
Hide tutorials
To hide the tutorials, click X at the top right corner of the Tutorials section.
Restore tutorials
To restore the Tutorials section to the home page, click the help icon in the top right corner of the home page and select Restore tutorials.
Projects
Click Projects to open the Projects page and work with projects you have access to. See Projects.
Your favorite projects are displayed for easy access. Click a project to go directly to it.
A project automatically becomes a favorite after you access it five times. You can remove projects from your favorites. See Remove a project from favorite projects.
Browse assets
Click Browse assets to browse all assets in Helix DAM. Use this if you do not have enough information to search for assets you need or to find assets that are not in a Helix DAM project. This is typically used by team members who also use a Helix Core client and are familiar with the organization of all the files.
Recent assets
Assets recently added to Helix DAM are displayed in the Recent assets section on the home page. A preview of the asset, the name, and when it was last refreshed are displayed.
- To work with a specific asset, click it to open it. See Working with assets.
- To make a copy of an asset, hover over it and click the circle in the top left corner to select it. Click Copy to. See Copy assets to other collections or folders.
- Company admins only: To add tags to an asset, hover over the asset and click the circle in the top left corner to select it. Click Add tags. See Add tags to assets.
Some assets may not have a preview available depending on the file type.
