Reply to comments

You can reply to comments to continue the discussion. Comments are shown in a thread so team members can follow the conversation.

Reply to comments on an asset

  1. Open the asset in a project. See Browse projects.
  2. Click Comments to view existing comments, including the user who commented and when. To learn more about changing the comments shown and the asset view, see View comments.

    If the right panel is hidden, click the Show right panel button Image of the Show right panel button at the bottom of the panel.

  3. Click Reply next to the comment to reply to.

  4. Enter your reply.

    • To add a sketch to a 2D image or a 3D model for your reply, click next to the reply. To learn more about adding sketches, see Add sketches to comments on 2D images and 3D models.

    • To add an attachment to your reply, click next to your reply. To learn more about adding attachments, see Attach files to a comment.

    • To add a locked asset view to a reply on a 3D model, adjust the asset view to best illustrate your reply, click the dropdown arrow in the comment box, and select the options you want to add to the reply. To learn more about a adding a locked asset view to your reply, see Lock the position of 3D models for comment replies.

  5. Click Reply.

    Your reply is added under the comment you replied to.

    To edit your reply, click the vertical ellipsis button next to your reply and click Edit. Make changes and click Update.

Reply to comments on an asset bundle or items in an asset bundle

  1. Open a bundle in a project. See Browse projects.

  2. Click the bundle or the item in the bundle and click Comments.

    Existing comments are shown, including the user who commented and when. To learn more about changing the comments shown and the asset view, see View comments.

    If the right panel is hidden, click the Show right panel button Image of the Show right panel button at the bottom of the panel.

  3. Click Reply next to the comment to reply to.

  4. Enter your reply.

    • To add a sketch to a 2D image or a 3D model for your reply, click next to the reply. To learn more about adding sketches, see Add sketches to comments on 2D images and 3D models.

    • To add an attachment to your reply, click next to your reply. To learn more about adding attachments, see Attach files to a comment.

    • To add a locked asset view to a reply on a 3D model, adjust the asset view to best illustrate your reply, click the dropdown arrow in the comment box, and select the options you want to add to the reply.   5. Click Reply.

    Your reply is added under the comment you replied to.

    To edit your reply, click the vertical ellipsis button next to your reply and click Edit. Make changes and click Update.

Reply to comments on an asset bundle review or items in an asset bundle review

  1. Open a bundle review in a project. See Browse projects.

  2. Click the bundle review or the item in the bundle review and click Review Comments.

    Existing comments are shown, including the user who commented and when. To learn more about changing the comments shown and the asset view, see View comments.

    If the right panel is hidden, click the Show right panel button Image of the Show right panel button at the bottom of the panel.

  3. Click Reply next to the comment to reply to.

  4. Enter your reply.

  5. Click Reply.
