Working with results
Following are the common tasks you perform when working with results.
1. Enter a results Summary, such as a brief description of the test or issue found.
You must enter a summary before you can save or share the results. The default summary is Steps Recorded: followed by today's date (e.g., Steps Recorded: 11/30/12).
2. Review the recorded actions and make any changes.
Recorded actions and comments are displayed as steps to reproduce in the results. You can edit the step text, include or exclude captured screenshots, and edit screenshots. You can also reorder the steps, add additional comments, and delete steps. See Editing steps and screenshots.
3. Save or share the results.
You can save or share results in any of the following ways.
- Add the results as a issue in a Helix ALM project. See Creating Helix ALM issues.
- Use the results as steps for a new test case in a Helix ALM project. See Creating Helix ALM test cases.
- Save the results as an Adobe PDF file, Microsoft Word document, or compressed .zip folder of HTML files. See Saving results.
- Email the results. See Emailing results.
- Click Print to print the results.
Note: To discard results, close the Results dialog box and click No when prompted to save.
