The Ports tab in the Styling Customizer for links allows
you to define the origin of a link as one of the OUT ports of a symbol.
Similarly, you can define the destination of a link as one of the
IN ports of a symbol. Ports on symbols are defined using the Symbol
Editor (see
Using link-in and link-out ports in
the
Using the Symbol Editor user
documentation).
The Controls tab in the Styling Customizer for nodes
allows you to define the link connector mode. Available modes are:
FREE, CLIP, and CENTER. The link connector mode controls the connection
of all the links that are incident to a particular node. To specify
a link connector for each link individually, use the Ports tab. For
details about link connectors, see
Contact points in
the
Essential JViews Framework user documentation.
Please note that, when graph layout is enabled, the link
connection points may be modified by the layout algorithm used (see Inappropriate-link exception in the Using Graph Layout Algorithms user
documentation).
The configuration of link connections is applied in the
following order of priority:
The graph layout configuration (if graph
layout is enabled)
The configuration defined in the Ports
tab of the link Styling Customizer
The configuration defined in the Controls
tab of the node Styling Customizer
The FREE connector mode
