Are you ready to start using P4 One? Follow these steps to get up and running quickly.

Step 1: Download and install P4 One

It will take just a few minutes to download and install P4 One on your computer. See Install P4 One.

Take a few minutes to get familiar with P4 One. Review the following pages:

Step 3: Create a workspace

In P4 One, each project has its own folder where you store files and subfolders related to the project. This folder is a workspace.

The steps to create a workspace depend on if you will use P4 One standalone or connected to a P4 Server. If you are not sure if you will use a P4 Server, follow the steps in Not connected to a P4 Server. You can connect to a P4 Server later.

Not connected to a P4 Server

Follow these steps if you will work with P4 One not connected to a P4 Server.

  1. Create a workspace on your computer.

  2. Add project files to the workspace.

Create a workspace connected to a P4 Server

Follow these steps if you will work with P4 One connected to a P4 Server.

  1. Add a P4 Server connection.

  2. Create a workspace on your computer.

  3. Add project files to your workspace or sync files with P4 Server if your project files are already under version control.
