Remove a repository

Remove a repository (collection)

To remove a repository from a project in P4 DAM, you must be a company or project administrator. When you remove a repository, you are only removing the link to the project, you are not deleting anything. The depot still exists in the P4 Server.

Delete a stream or a branch

Delete a stream

If you are deleting a stream from P4 Server, you must hide that stream from all the P4 DAM repositories it is in. If you don’t, the deleted stream is still shown in those repositories.

To avoid seeing a deleted stream in the Manage streams dialog box, hide it from the P4 DAM repository before you delete it in P4 Server.
  1. From P4 DAM, click the repository that contains the collection (stream) to hide.

  2. Select the collection you want to hide.

  3. In the upper right of the page, below your avatar, select the vertical ellipsis button and select Hide from DAM.

A confirmation dialog box is displayed.

  4. Select Hide.

    The collection is hidden.

  5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 for all repositories that contain the stream you want to hide.

  6. Delete the stream from P4 Server. To learn more about deleting streams in P4 Server, see p4stream in the P4 CLI Reference.
