public class IltFacesImageMapAreaGenerator
extends IlvImageMapAreaGenerator

This implementation generates an AREA element for an image map based on the graphic base of a representation object. The default behavior is to display a ToolTip for the object.

Note: This implementation does not support the mapping of graphic decorations in a representation object.

The default constructor.

The generateManagerArea property is set to true by default on JViews TGO Faces.

getShape

public int getShape(IlvManagerView view,
                    IlvGraphic graphic,
                    IlvTransformer viewTrasnformer)

Returns the shape of the area for the graphic object specified. This default implementation returns the following:

• a IlvImageMapAreaGenerator.POLYGON_SHAPE instance for links and polygroups
• a IlvImageMapAreaGenerator.RECTANGLE_SHAPE instance for other nodes

Parameters:

view - The manager view containing the objects

graphic - The graphic object being processed

viewTrasnformer - The current view transformer

Returns:

The shape of the area for graphic.

generateCOORDS

public String generateCOORDS(IlvManagerView view,

                             IlvRect bounds,
                             IlvTransformer viewTransformer)

Returns the coordinates of the AREA mapped to the base of a given graphic object. This area corresponds to a representation object in the underlying graph view.

Overrides:

generateCOORDS in class IlvImageMapAreaGenerator

Parameters:

view - The manager view containing the objects.

graphic - The graphic object being processed.

bounds - The bounding area of the view.

viewTransformer - The current view transformer.

Returns:

The coordinates of the AREA mapped to the base of a given graphic object.

generateALT

public String generateALT(IlvManagerView view,
                          IlvGraphic object)

Returns the ALT attribute of this area for a specified graphic object. This default implementation tries to retrieve the IlpObjectKeys.ToolTipString CSS property of object.

object - The graphic object to be processed.

Returns:

The ALT attribute of this area for a specified graphic object.

getRepresentationObject

protected IlpRepresentationObject getRepresentationObject(IlvGraphic object)

Accesses the representation object, that is, an IlpRepresentationObject instance from a given graphic object in a manager view.

Parameters:

object - The IlvGraphic instance corresponding to the representation object.

Returns:

The representation object. If object is not mapped to an IlpRepresentationObject instance, null is returned.
