Writing applications using the DB XA Module in an X/Open environment is not too different from writing applications using the more traditional client/server environment. In fact, many statements used in programs written with the non-XA version of the DB Interface Module remain unchanged. However, there are some differences. This chapter describes some of the design and code adjustments you need to be aware of when working with the DB XA Module in the X/Open environment.
