Creating a GitHub webhook
Use the following steps to create a GitHub webhook.
1. Select your user name in the toolbar and select Webhooks from the drop-down menu.
The Webhooks panel appears.
2. Select Add new.
3. The Add new webhook interface opens.
4. Set the Type to GitHub.
5. Use the Project drop-down menu to select one or more projects to use with the webhook. If you choose (select all), then new projects will also be included automatically.
6. Enter a Name for the webhook.
7. Enter a Repository URL for the GitHub repository.
8. Enter the GitHub App ID for your GitHub app.
9. Paste the whole .pem file, including the BEGIN and END lines, into GitHub App Private Key.
10. If you want the webhook to both send and receive data, select Activate 2-way sync and enter a GitHub Webhook Secret. This is only needed for incoming webhooks.
If this is not selected, the webhook will only affect P4 Plan and will not be able to make changes to the linked GitHub repository.
11. To activate the webhook, tick the Active check box.
12. Provide an optional Description to explain the webhook's purpose or other information.
13. Select Create.
The webhook appears in the Webhooks panel and all users in the selected projects can use it to create links.
