Follow these steps to use a GitHub webhook to create a branch from a P4 Plan item. You can create multiple branches from a single item.
Links are not automatically removed when a branch is deleted.
1. Select an item and open the Links tab.
2. Select Create branch.
You will only see this option if a GitHub webhook is set up for the item's project.
3. Use Select webhook to choose the webhook.
4. Use Branch off to choose the branch to start from.
The default branch will be preselected.
5. (Optional) Replace the suggested Branch name with your own.
Branch names can't include spaces or ~ ^ : ? * [ \ # %, can't contain .. and can't start or end with /.
6. Select Create branch.
The branch is created in GitHub and linked to the item.
