Submit a version to P4 Server
When you are ready to commit a version to P4 Server, you submit a pending changelist, which is a list of files and folders with changes in the selected version. After a pending changelist is submitted to P4, it is known as a committed changelist.

In the timeline, choose a version to submit to P4.

Click the Submit Version
button.The Detect local changes dialog box opens.

Choose how P4 One reconciles your local files:

Tracked Changes (fastest) – Compare your local versions.

Tracked Files (fast) – Compare all locally tracked files.

All Files (thorough) – Scan all workspace files.
The Submit Changelist dialog box opens.

In the Submit Changelist dialog box, the Changelist Description field contains the name from the timeline for the version you are submitting. You can change the description to provide more details about the changes for other team members.

Review the Changed Files list, which lists the changed files and folders in the version you are submitting.
You can move files to another changelist, free files to revert the changes, and copy information to the clipboard to paste elsewhere. Right-click a file in the list and choose an option.

To remove all other local versions from the timeline, select Squash.
Squashing local versions can make the timeline easier to follow if you are working on a long-term project. To learn more, see Squashing local versions.
Squashing versions removes access to your locally stored versions. Before you squash versions, make sure you submit all changes you want to keep. There is no undo available. -
To replace the local version message with the changelist description after submitting, select Update local version message with description.

Click Submit Changelist.
The changelist is submitted to the P4 Server. To see the submitted changelist, click the Submitted Changes tab. To learn more about viewing submitted changes, see View changes submitted to a P4 Server
