Work with files in your workspace
When working on a project, use the applications you normally use to create and edit files. When you want to let other users see, review, and update the files, upload them to the Helix Core Server from Helix Sync.
You can:

| Add new files to your workspace. | Create a new file and save it to your workspace folder. See Add a new file to your workspace. |
| Edit and rename files in your workspace. | From the Files list, click the vertical ellipsis  next to the file, click Lock file, and edit the file. See Edit a file in your workspace. |
| Delete files from your workspace. | From the Files list, click the vertical ellipsis next to the file, click Lock file, and delete the file from the workspace. See Delete a file from your workspace. |
| Open a file with its default file editor. | From the My changes or My files list, click the vertical ellipsis next to the file, and click Open file with default editor. See Open a file in the default editor. |
| Unlock a file if you decide not to make changes to it. | From the My changes or My files list, click the vertical ellipsis next to the file, and click Unlock file. See Unlock a file in your workspace. |
| Filter the files shown in the My files list. | Use the Filter box to the right of the My files list button. The filter is case sensitive and you must enter a minimum of two characters to filter the list. The following characters cannot be used for filtering:
