Released: Dec 2025

For a complete list of what’s new and bug fixes in this release, see the release notes.

Add review comments to multiple lines

You can now select multiple lines in a file and add a single comment to the entire selection. This makes it easier to provide feedback on blocks of code without adding repetitive single-line comments. For more information on this new comments feature, see Commenting on lines in a file in a changelist or review.

Comment reactions

You can now add emoji reactions to comments made by other users. This provides a quick way to acknowledge feedback or show agreement without adding extra comments. For more information, see Reacting to comments.

Security hardening

To help you provide the security of the IT infrastructure that P4 Code Review is running on, a new section has been added to the documentation. The Security section outlines how to prevent unauthorized access, use strong authentication methods, implement firewalls, monitor logs, install the latest security patches and many other security features. For more information, see Secure P4 Code Review

Revert AI comment suggestions to the original text

Users now have the flexibility to restore their original comment text after accepting an AI-suggested edit, eliminating the need to manually copy and save it beforehand. This new Revert option has been added to the AI Assistant making it quick and easy to undo AI changes with a single click. For more information, see AI Assistant.

Display number of unread comments

To see how many unread comments you have on a review, an unread comments counter has been added to the review page. This displays the number of new comments that are yet to be read. The unread comment count is specific to the logged-in user. The unread comments are displayed as a fraction of the total number of comments on a review. For example, 3/5 indicates that 3 out of the 5 comments on a review are new and unread by the logged-in user. For more information, see Unread comments.
