Comment threading
By default, users can reply to comments. Replies are displayed in a thread beneath the parent comment.
Comment reply behavior is controlled by the max_depth configurable and defaults to 4.
-
Set
max_depthto0to disable comment replies. -
Set
max_depthto a non-zero value to enable comment replies.
Default view
In the default flat comment view, max_depth does not limit the depth of reply threads. Users can continue replying regardless of nesting depth.
Classic view
In the classic comment view, max_depth limits the number of reply levels that can be added to a comment thread.
When the maximum thread depth is reached, the Reply link is no longer displayed for comments at that level. Existing replies are retained and continue to be displayed.
If the maximum thread depth is reduced by an administrator, replies that exceed the new depth limit remain visible, but users cannot add further replies at those levels.
You can share a direct link to a task comment or reply. To learn more, see Share comments
If a parent comment is archived, all replies in the thread are archived with the parent comment. To learn more, see Archive comments.
Configure comment threading
To configure comment threading, update the SWARM_ROOT/data/config.php file and add the following configuration item to the comments block:
<?php
'comments' => array(
'threading' => array(

-
