Viewing asset comments
Team members can add comments to provide feedback on assets. Comments are displayed in a thread so you can have multiple conversations about an asset that are easy to follow.
You can view comments when you open an asset.
-
Open the asset in a project.
You can only work with comments if the asset is open in a project. If the asset is already open outside of a project, click Projects and then click the project to open the asset in. See Viewing asset project information.
-
Click Comments.
Existing comments are displayed, including the user who commented and when.
- For image assets, if there are comments for a specific area, they are displayed on the asset and in the Comments tab. On the asset, a circle with a number in it indicates a comment. The number indicates how many comments are in the thread. A blue circle indicates the comments apply to the current version of the asset and an orange circle indicates the comments apply to a different version of the asset. To hide the comment circles on the asset, click the Hide comments toggle on the asset zoom control.
- For video and audio assets, if there are comments for a specific area, the elapsed time is displayed next to the comment. Click the time to preview the asset from that point.
TipTo view a different asset version, select the version in the list next to the asset filename. See Viewing asset versions.
-
If you are viewing an image asset, use the toggle at the top of the Comments tab to select which comments to display on the asset.
- Show all comments is selected by default and shows all comment circles on the asset.
- Show version comments shows only comment circles for the selected asset version. To view a different version of the asset, select it in the list next to the asset filename. See Viewing asset versions.

If you need to add new comments or reply to comments, see Adding comments to assets and Adding comments to specific areas on assets.
