Deleting assets

You can delete assets from a collection if they are no longer needed. You can delete one or multiple assets when viewing a collection, or you can delete the asset you are currently viewing.

You can only delete the latest version of an asset. Asset versions marked as Deleted cannot be viewed or downloaded.

Tip

When an asset is locked in Helix Core Server, the asset is also locked in Helix DAM. Locked assets display a lock icon by the asset name. See Locked assets.

Deleting assets when viewing a collection

  1. Open the project and collection that contains the assets.

  2. Click the circle in the top left corner of the assets to select them. A checkmark indicates an asset is selected.

  3. Click Delete.

    You are prompted to confirm the deletion. There is no undo available.

  4. Click Delete.

    The assets are deleted from the collection.

Deleting an asset when viewing it

  1. Open the project and collection that contains the asset.
  2. Click the asset to open it.
  3. Click and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete.

    You are prompted to confirm the deletion. There is no undo available.

  5. Click Delete.

    The asset is deleted from the collection.
