Configure P4 DAM after manual deployment

The following information only applies to manual P4 DAM deployment. Do not follow these steps if you are using the automated deployment.

When P4 DAM manual deployment is complete, you need to perform the following configuration tasks.

Configuration

The following steps are all performed in the TeamHub admin UI except step 4. See Logging in to the TeamHub admin UI.

  1. Configure a hostname for P4 DAM. See Setting the P4 DAM instance hostname.

  2. Enter an email address to use for all outgoing P4 DAM emails and in links to email your support team throughout the application. See Setting the P4 DAM email address.

  3. Set up P4 authentication. See Setting up P4 authentication.

  4. Reconfigure P4 DAM to apply the server changes. See Reconfiguring P4 DAM to apply server configuration changes.

  5. Connect P4 DAM to P4 Search. See Connecting P4 DAM to P4 Search.

  6. Verify that P4 Search is running on the P4 DAM page. See Configuring P4 DAM settings.

  7. Install P4 Server extensions. See Configuring P4 Server extensions.

Verification

  1. Log in to P4 DAM using your P4 Server credentials to make sure you can connect. See Logging in to P4 DAM.

  2. Verify that you can see users from P4 on the Users page. See Manage users and groups in P4 Server and Manage users.

User management

Add users who need access to P4 DAM. See Create users. You can also give existing users access to P4 DAM. See Give a P4 user access to P4 DAM.
