Download an asset

If you need to work on an asset or need a local copy of it, you can download it from P4 DAM. You can download the most recent asset version or an older version. To view or edit the asset, use an application that supports the asset file type.

  1. Open the asset.

    A list of the asset versions is displayed. In the list, each asset version has the date and time the version changed, the user who made the change, and a Download version button Image of the Download button.

    A vertical indigo colored line next to a file version in the list indicates the asset version you are viewing. Asset versions marked as Moved/Deleted cannot be viewed or downloaded.

  2. Click the Download version button Image of the Download button next to the version in the list. You may be prompted to select a location for the downloaded asset.

    The file is downloaded and you can work with it locally. To upload changes to the asset to share with others, see Update assets in collections.
