Copy an asset bundle

To access an asset bundle from another location, such as another project, you can make a copy. Copying an asset bundle creates a reference to the original bundle, but does not create a new bundle.

A bundle copy can be converted to a bundle duplicate. See Convert an asset bundle copy to a bundle duplicate.

To view the items in an asset bundle copy, open the copy and click Go to original location.

Copy an asset bundle when viewing it from a search result or when browsing assets

1. Find the asset bundle by making a search or by browsing assets.

2. Click the asset bundle to open it.

3. At the top of the asset bundle view, click Copy to.

   The Copy to dialog box opens.

4. Select the project and collection to copy the asset bundle to. You can also select a folder in a collection. You can filter the list by project, collection, and folder. Folder filtering is only available if the selected collection or folder contains more than five folders.

5. Click Copy.

   An asset bundle copy is added to the selected collection or folder.

   If an asset bundle with the same name is already in the selected location, the bundle cannot be copied.

Copy multiple asset bundles when viewing a collection or a search result

1. Find the asset bundles by making a search or by opening a collection.

2. In the upper left corner of each asset bundle, click the selector to select it. A checkmark indicates a bundle is selected.

3. Below the assets, click Copy to.

4. Select the project and collection to copy the asset bundle to. You can also select a folder in a collection. You can filter the list by project, collection, and folder. Folder filtering is only available if the selected collection or folder contains more than five folders.

5. Click Copy.

   The asset bundle copies are added to the selected collection or folder.

   If an asset bundle with the same name is already in the selected location, the bundle cannot be copied.

After copying asset bundles, they will remain selected. You can perform another action on them or click X to remove the selection.

Select multiple assets and asset bundles with shortcuts

Asset bundles can be selected in the same ways as assets.

You can select multiple assets by using keyboard and mouse shortcuts.
