After installation
Perform the following steps after installation to start using Perforce ALM based on your role.

Administrators
Before users can access Perforce ALM, the administrator needs to perform the following tasks.
1. Make sure the Perforce ALM Server is running.
2. If you installed ALM web components, configure the web server.
3. Start the Perforce ALM Server Admin Utility and configure a server connection.
During installation, an administrative user with full admin security permissions is created. To log in as this user, enter Administrator as the username and leave the Password field empty. If you want to create a different admin user, you can delete this user. If you do not want to delete this user, add a password to prevent unauthorized users from logging in to the admin account.
4. Create a project and configure server options.
5. After creating a project, perform the following tasks so users can work in it.
- Start the Perforce ALM desktop client
- Retrieve users from the Perforce ALM License Server
- Set up security groups
- Configure project options
