Perforce ALM 2026.1 release notes

Perforce ALM 2026.1 includes the following key features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

Product name change

Helix ALM is now Perforce ALM. The new name and logos are now used in the product and documentation.

Duplicate dashboard widgets

Administrators can now duplicate dashboard widgets in the desktop client. To learn more, see Duplicating dashboard widgets.

Other enhancements - all ALM areas

  • The Microsoft Visual Studio integration now supports Visual Studio 2026.

  • Improved server performance when running trend reports.

  • Documentation now has a more modern look and feel.

  • Refreshed the web client colors for improved visual consistency with Perforce branding.

Bug fixes

All ALM areas

  • A generic error message could be displayed when using expired Jira credentials when performing Jira actions in ALM.
  • Distribution reports for manual test runs could fail to run because of a security error.
  • Bulk changing tags could fail to update the selected items after switching the item list tab.
  • Downloaded files could be corrupted when using specific web server configurations. (web client)
  • Exporting all users to a text file could incorrectly include all customers. (web client)
  • Exporting to Microsoft Excel, text, or XML could fail. (web client)
  • Performing an advanced search after adding a new tab could fail. (web client)
  • User display options did not immediately apply to reports or when opening items in Microsoft Excel. (desktop client)
  • Selecting items could incorrectly display a 'too many items' warning. (desktop client)
  • The Linux script to start and stop the REST API Server could fail when the server was installed in a non-default directory. (REST API)

Requirements management

  • Requirement type field security could fail to be applied when using thearrow buttons to change the requirement on the Edit Requirement window. (desktop client)

Test case management

  • A misleading error message was displayed when workflow event resulting states were removed because of manual test run enhanced complianceoptions. (web client)

Perforce ALM 2026.1.0 also includes other minor bug fixes.

  • Upgraded Node.js to version 20.20.0 to address potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-55131, CVE-2025-55130, CVE-2025-59465.
  • Upgraded the web client to address potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-66412, CVE-2025-66035, CVE-2026-22610, CVE-2025-13465. (web client)
  • Upgraded the REST API to address potential vulnerabilities: CVE-2025-12816, CVE-2025-66031, CVE-2025-15284, CVE-2025-13465. (REST API)

  • Discontinued support for Fedora 38 - 40, openSUSE 15.5, Red Hat 8.6 - 8.9, and Ubuntu 22.10 - 24.10. Ubuntu LTS versions are still supported.
  • Discontinued support for Firefox 111.x - 121.x, Google Chrome 112.x - 120.x, Microsoft Edge 112.x - 120.x, and Safari 16.x.
  • Discontinued support for Git 2.36 - 2.42.
  • Discontinued support for Helix Core 2021.x.
  • Discontinued support for Jira 9.
  • Discontinued support for SQL Server 2012 and SQL Server 2014.

Perforce ALM License Server 2026.1.0 release notes

Perforce ALM 2026.1.0 contains a newer version of the Perforce ALM License Server (version 2026.1.0).

License server 2026.1.0 only supports Helix ALM/Perforce ALM 2020.1 and later, and Surround SCM 2020.1 and later.

Product name change

Helix ALM License Server is now Perforce ALM License Server. The new name and logos are now used in the product and documentation.
