Duplicating dashboards
If you need to add a dashboard with the same basic information as another one, save time by duplicating the existing dashboard and then editing the settings in the new one. You can duplicate a dashboard with all of the same widgets as an existing one or duplicate a dashboard without the widgets.
There is a limit on the number of dashboards and widgets in a project. To learn more, see Dashboard and widget limits.
1. Choose Tools > Administration > Dashboards.
The Configure Dashboards dialog box opens.
2. Select the dashboard to duplicate and click Duplicate.
3. Choose to duplicate both the dashboard and widgets or only the dashboard.
- To duplicate the dashboard and widgets, click Duplicate Dashboard and Widgets.
- To only duplicate the dashboard without the widgets, click Only Duplicate Dashboard.
The Add Dashboard dialog box opens. All information from the original dashboard is displayed. If you duplicated widgets with the dashboard, they are also displayed. A number is added to the end of the dashboard and widget names. For example, if you duplicate a dashboard named Backlog, the duplicated task board is named Backlog.1.
4. Modify the dashboard and widgets.
- To learn more about the available dashboard options, see Adding dashboards.
- To learn more about the available widget options, see Adding dashboard burn down widgets, Adding dashboard burn up widgets, Adding dashboard chart widgets, Adding dashboard count widgets, and Adding dashboard note widgets.
5. Click OK to save the changes.
