Duplicating dashboard widgets

If you need to add a dashboard widget with the same basic information as another one, save time by duplicating the existing widget and then editing the settings in the new one.

You can also duplicate all widgets in a dashboard when you duplicate a dashboard. To learn more, see Duplicating dashboards.

There is a limit on the number of dashboards and widgets in a project. To learn more, see Dashboard and widget limits.

You cannot duplicate the Currently Assigned To Me and Recent Activity widgets.

1. Choose Tools > Administration > Dashboards or Dashboard Widgets. The available option depends on your security permissions.

If you can configure dashboards and widgets, the Configure Dashboards dialog box opens. Click Configure Widgets.

If you can only configure widgets, the Configure Widgets dialog box opens.

2. Select the widget to duplicate and click Duplicate.

The duplicated widget is displayed in the widgets list. A number is added to the end of the widget name. For example, if you duplicate a dashboard named Burn Down, the duplicated task board is named Burn Down.1.

3. Modify the widget.

To learn more about the available widget options, see Adding dashboard burn down widgets, Adding dashboard burn up widgets, Adding dashboard chart widgets, Adding dashboard count widgets, and Adding dashboard note widgets.

4. Click OK to save the changes.
