Application Framework is a library that lets you develop complete applications, such as the one shown in Application Developed with Application Framework:

It provides a tool called the Application Framework Editor, which allows you to edit the application graphically: all menus, bars, actions, dynamic menus, and so on, are specified using this tool. Chapter 2 describes in detail how to start up and use the Application Framework Editor.

Application Framework also provides a mechanism that allows its objects to track and process GUI events. This mechanism will be looked at in Application Framework Interfaces.
