Integration with Rogue Wave Server
To promote the rapid development of Rogue Wave® Server applications, standard dynamic view services incorporate a predefined mapping with Rogue Wave Views representation objects. Using a GUI Builder based on the Rogue Wave Views Studio and without writing a single line of code, you can connect to any view server (using dynamic view services), load its object model and define dynamic view types of this object model at runtime. In this particular environment, defining a view consists in mapping Rogue Wave Server classes to Rogue Wave Views data source tables. You will then use these data source tables to associate the Server classes they represent with Rogue Wave Views gadgets grouped in a panel (see Figure 1.2).
Once your views are ready, you can run a predefined Rogue Wave Views application component, called swcomp, connect it to the object server, and open the panels you have created. This predefined client application can be customized to meet specific needs.
This figure illustrates the Server/Views integration provided with the dynamic view services.
