The selection interactor faces component allows the end user to select a display point on a chart view and trigger a specified server-side action. The server-side action can be executed inside or outside the JavaServer Faces lifecycle depending on the invocationContext
attribute. The server generates a new image for each selection.
Attributes |
Name | Required | Request-time | Type | Description |
autoSubmit | false | false | java.lang.String | The auto submit mode. If true , this interactor will submit the enclosing form on a click event. The auto submit mode is set to true by default. This property is used when the invocation context value is JSF_CONTEXT . |
partialSubmit | false | false | java.lang.String | The partial submit mode. If true , and autoSubmit is also true , this interactor will do a partial submit on the enclosing form on a click event. The partial submit mode is set to false by default. This property is used when the invocation context value is JSF_CONTEXT . |
binding | false | false | java.lang.String | The value binding expression linking this component to a property in a backing bean. If this attribute is set, the tag does not create the component itself but retrieves it from the bean property. This attribute must be a value binding. |
cursor | false | false | java.lang.String | The cursor displayed by the view when this interactor is set. The available cursors are those available in the browser. |
id | false | false | java.lang.String | The ID of this component. |
invocationContext | false | false | java.lang.String | The invocation context of the valueChangeListener . Valid values are JSF_CONTEXT and IMAGE_SERVLET_CONTEXT . In JSF_CONTEXT mode, the page is submitted to trigger the JSF lifecycle. In IMAGE_SERVLET_CONTEXT mode, the value change listener is invoked in the image generating servlet, just before the image generation. So the listener can only access to the graphic component that generates the image and not to the JSF components that are not refreshed. |
menuModelId | false | false | java.lang.String | ID used during the dynamic generation of contextual menus. |

If one of the trigger components receives an event that will cause it to update in some way, this component will request to be updated too. Separate multiple triggers with a space. Trigger identifiers are relative to the source component for non-NamingContainer components and relative to the parent component for NamingContainer components. Identifiers must account for NamingContainers. You can use a single colon to start the search from the root, or use multiple colons to move up through the NamingContainer. For example, for a non-NamingContainer component, "::" will search from the parent naming container, ":::" will search from the grandparent naming container, etc. For a NamingContainer component, "::" will search from the parent component's parent naming container. ":::" will search from the parent component's grandparent naming container. |
pickingMode | false | false | java.lang.String | The picking mode. The picking mode defines how a point is retrieved. - If the mode is
ITEM , the interactor will search the display point that contains the picking point. - If the mode is
