Creates a Chart servlet.

init

public void init(jakarta.servlet.ServletConfig config)
          throws jakarta.servlet.ServletException

This method is invoked by the servlet container to indicate that the servlet is being placed into service. This implementation creates and caches the servlet configuration parameters for later use.

It is always preferable to override the init() method instead of this one. If you do override this method, you must make sure that super.init(config) is called.

createServletSupport

protected abstract IlvChartServletSupport createServletSupport()

Creates an IlvChartServletSupport instance. This method is called by the {link #getServletSupport} method when the support has not been created. This method should be overridden to provide a default implementation.

Returns the support for this servlet. If the support has not been created yet, then createServletSupport() is called first.

getConfigParameters

prepareSession

Prepares a session for the client. This method is called at every request before any other method to allow the user to prepare a session for his servlet. The actual implementation is empty, but if your servlet needs to create a session you can override this method to do it.

Parameters:

request - The current HTTP request.

Throws:

jakarta.servlet.ServletException - If the request for the GET could not be handled.

doGet

Responds to the servlet request. This method simply calls prepareSession(jakarta.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest) then IlvChartServletSupport.handleRequest(jakarta.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, jakarta.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse). You normally do not need to override this method. If you would like to add a new request type, override the IlvChartServletSupport.handleRequest(jakarta.servlet.http.HttpServletRequest, jakarta.servlet.http.HttpServletResponse) method instead.
