public interface IlpReferenceManager

Support class to handle references for a given data source.

A reference is an attribute whose value is a business object identifier (mono-valued reference), or a collection of business object identifiers (multi-valued reference). Multi-valued references are not handled.

An association is implemented by a reference. The object holding the reference is the source; the object referred to is the target.

The reference manager tracks:

• simultaneous presence of the two participants of an association.
• removal of a participant of an association.
• changes in a source object of an association.

Creates and adds a reference descriptor.

Parameters:

sourceIlpClass - The business class containing the source reference.

sourceAttribute - The business attribute storing the source reference.

targetIlpClass - The business class containing the computed reference.

handler - The handler to be called when references are modified.

Returns:

The descriptor for the added reference.

removeReferenceDescriptor

void removeReferenceDescriptor(IlpReferenceDescriptor descriptor)

Removes a reference descriptor.

Parameters:

descriptor - The descriptor for the reference to be removed.
