The keyboard can be operated in special
modes that are more appropriate for people who can press only one
key at a time or who press keys more slowly than normal users.
The JViews Framework
does not provide any specific API for keyboard operation modes,
because these modes are implemented in the operating system:
- On Microsoft® Windows® systems, set features such as Sticky keys, Filter keys, or Toggle keys. These features are available from the Control Panel; in the Ease of Access Center in Windows 7 and equivalent facilities in other versions of Windows.
- On Linux® systems running the KDE desktop or Gnome desktop, use the system settings to set features such as StickyKeys, SlowKeys, or BounceKeys.
For more information, see the documentation
for the operating system.
