public class IlvCylindricalEqualAreaProjection
extends IlvProjection

This class defines the Cylindrical Equal Area projection. A cylindrical projection is obtained by wrapping a large, flat plane around the globe to form a cylinder.

The Cylindrical Equal Area projection is also known as:

• Lambert Cylindric Equal Area (when the projection cylinder is tangent at the Equator).
• Behrmann (when the secant parallels are set to 30°N and S).
• Gall Orthographic (when the secant parallels are set to 45°N and S).
• Peters (same as Gall Orthographic).

This class applies both to spherical and non-spherical ellipsoids and implements an inverse function.

This projection is Equal Area.
