Detailed Description

This structure is used to handle long binary data.

Library: dbkernel

The array _value data member is not terminated by a null character. Consequently, the data member _size is the only reliable way to know and to set the size of _value. The size is indicated as a number of bytes.

In RDBMSs that support short binary types (such as BINARY, or VARBINARY), DB Link handles such data as strings (that is, char*).
