This chapter introduces important concepts about the Objective Chart architecture that you need to understand Objective Chart and the following chapters of the User's Guide. The emphasis here is on the "standard" Objective Chart classes, their relationships, purposes, and structures.
Chapter 7, "Customizing a Chart," details how the classes are used to implement the various features of Objective Chart.
Other classes, that provide alternative, special, or advanced features, are described in Part II, "Programmer's Guide."
Objective Chart is composed of several groups of MFC extension classes which work together to build and draw the chart. This chapter discusses each group of classes in its own section.
