Establishing Connectivity with the DB XA Module
Before you can build a DB XA Module application, you must:
1. Be able to connect to a database server from the machine where you plan to run your application. See your database documentation for more information on how to do this.
2. Compile, link and run at least one database sample program. See your database documentation for more information on how to do this.
3. Use the utility provided by your TPM vendor to test your ability to build and start application servers. See your TPM documentation for information on how to do this.
4. Compile, link, and run the two sample programs provided with the DB XA Module. The first program, testxa.cpp, requires no setup of a TPM environment. The second program is based on the Tuxedo TPM environment. For instructions on how to execute both of these test programs, see the appendix that pertains to your access module.
