1.2 Installation and Build Process

To use Tools.h++, you must complete the tasks listed in Table 1. This guide assumes you have completed the first three steps.

Prepare Tools.h++ for installation:

  • If it is on the SPM CD, unlock it.

  • If it is on a floppy disk or with a web
    distribution, run the provided install scripts.

Use SPM to install the Tools.h++ source code, examples, and documentation.
 SPM online help
Use SPM to compile the Tools.h++ libraries.
 Chapter 3 of this guide
Compile and run the Tools.h++ examples. (Optional, but useful if you want to use the example makefiles as templates for your own software's makefiles.)
