Using the Tool Menu
Use the Tool menu to start VDA Tools and list
selected variables.
Some VDA Tools can be started without the existence of a selected variable, while other VDA Tools require that a variable be selected. For a list of the variable-dependent and variable-independent VDA Tools, see
Summary of VDA Tools.
The Tool=>List Selected Variables command causes the names of the variables that are currently selected to display in the message area of the Navigator. These selected variables are available for use in the Navigator by the VDA Tools that accept variables.
note | Look in the message area of the Navigator for feedback whenever you open a VDA Tool. If the VDA Tool requires a variable, but none is currently selected, then an error message will be displayed in the message area. You can use keyboard shortcuts to open VDA Tools. The keyboard shortcuts associated with each VDA Tool are listed on the Tool menu. For example, pressing <Control>-<P> opens the WzPlot Tool. |
