Multi-line text editor enhancements

We have updated the text editor for multi-line text columns with new features, enabling you to add the following:

  • Tables
  • Strikethrough text
  • Numbered and bulleted lists can now have multiple levels
  • Images in any multi-line text field, including user stories
  • Pasting from markdown

New options for custom Date/Date and time columns

You can now set the current date when an item is assigned. This triggers when the item gets assigned, instead of when the assigned user changes. This also triggers when "Assign tag" is set in the backlog, if the column is active in that view.

You can also set the current date when a pipeline item can be started.

Create sprints in the Planning view with a keyboard shortcut

You can use the new keyboard shortcut Ctrl + Shift + M in the Planning view to create a sprint.

Update scheduled tasks in the web client

You are now able to set the start, end, and duration on scheduled tasks in the web client.

API enhancements

We have added support for a number of features for the P4 Plan API:

  • The API now supports Timesheet operations
  • You can now create, update, and delete connections between tasks
  • Start, finish and duration changes of connected scheduled tasks follow the connection constraints, and update subsequent tasks if needed
