Configuring incoming webhooks for mac / Linux

1. Open your nginx configuration.

2. If the block between ## BEGIN inbound-webhooks and ## END inbound-webhooks isn't there, copy it from nginx-example.conf into http { }.

3. Remove one # from the start of every line in the block.

4. Set server_name to your public hostname.

5. Check the paths in the block and make sure they are correct:

  • ssl_certificate / ssl_certificate_key point to /usr/share/nginx/certificates/. On macOS, change them to where your certificates are, for example /usr/local/etc/nginx/certificates/
  • access_log points to /var/log/nginx/. On macOS, change it to a folder that exists, for example /usr/local/var/log/nginx/
  • If you changed integrationPort, change the port in proxy_pass

6. Run nginx -t, then reload nginx.

7. In integrations/.env, make sure integrationServiceID is the same as in P4PlanAPI/.env, and set:

Copy
inboundWebhooksEnabled=true

8. Run start.sh and answer Y to "Do you want to run the integrations service?".

9. Open only port 8443 to the internet.
