You can add dashboard charts when working with reports in the Reports dialog. This helps you quickly create charts using a selected subset of your project data. You can create bar, pie, burndown line, and burndown area charts.
1. In the Reports dialog, select the report to add a chart for.
2. Select More and select New dashboard chart.
The Dashboard chart wizard dialog opens.
3. Enter a chart Name.
4. Select a Chart type. See Dashboard chart types.
5. Select the Measures to use for the chart. See Selecting dashboard chart measures.
6. Select the Per dimension to use for the selected measure.
7. Select the dashboard page to add the chart to in Create on page.
8. Select New chart.
The Dashboards area opens and the new chart is displayed at the bottom of the page. You can edit the chart from the dashboard page. See Editing dashboard charts and item views.
