From within qagui, first create a connection between the Helix QAC project and the Validate project by selecting Portals -> Validate -> Connect Project menu. Once you have entered the URL the dropdown will be populated with a list of projects on the Validate server. Choose the required project.
Then upload the current Helix QAC project definition and configuration to Validate by selecting Portals -> Validate -> Upload Project Configuration.
The act of connecting and uploading the project configuration will turn the project into a connected project. This means:
- The Helix QAC project configuration will be stored centrally in Validate so that other users can download it.
- The project name will be supplemented on the Helix QAC title bar with the name of the Validate project in brackets.
- Diagnostics and suppressions from Validate are synchronized with the local project. This can be done manually or automatically. Synchronize with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions is enabled by default. See Diagnostics and Suppression Synchronization for more information.
