Configuring Diagnostics and Suppression Synchronization
You are able to configure Synchronize with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions either through the command line or via the GUI.
Configuring Synchronization with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions using the command line is done with the qacli baseline
command, which you can read about in qacli baseline.
When using the GUI, the Synchronize with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions option will appear in the Connect dialog when you connect a project to Validate. It is selected by default.
You can also access this option by going to Project Properties > Baseline and selecting the Synchronize with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions option.
The options panel is disabled by default, and a project must be connected to Validate before you can select Synchronize with Validate Diagnostics and Suppressions to enable it. Refer to Creating and Uploading a Connected Project for more information.
By default, both diagnostics and suppressions will be synchronized. You can use the drop-down menu to change this to either Synchronize only suppressions or Synchronize only diagnostics.
Manual Suppressions
To disable automatic suppression downloading and use the cache instead, deselect the Fetch latest build from the server during analysis checkbox.
To create a local cache of the diagnostics on the Validate server click the Pull Validate Diagnostics button on the Baseline tab.
Cache Location
By default, the local cache of diagnostics and suppressions is held inside the project output folder. When the latest build is fetched during analysis the cache location cannot be changed. However, if manual suppressions are in effect then the location of the cache can be changed by selecting the “folder” button in the Local Cache group.
You can reset this to the default location by clicking the Reset button.
