Use an existing P4 Server workspace with P4 One

If you already use P4 clients and have a workspace for your project on your computer, you can use the workspace with P4 One. After you connect the workspace to P4 One, you can also continue to use it with other P4 clients, such as P4V and P4 CLI.

  1. Discover any existing P4 Server workspaces on your computer. To learn more, see Discover existing P4 Server workspaces on your computer.

  2. In the navigation pane, under Workspaces, click Manage Workspaces to see the discovered workspaces. P4 Server workspaces have a P4 icon next to them.

  3. Click Use with P4 One.

  4. In the Create Workspace dialog box, verify that the workspace connection is successful.

  5. Click Initialize P4 One.

    The workspace opens. A .p4one hidden folder and a few configurations are now in the root directory of the workspace folder to facilitate communication with the P4 Server.
