Add a P4 Server connection
To work with files stored on a P4 Server, you need to add a connection to the server in P4 One.
The following instructions assume you already have access to a P4 Server. If you do not yet have a P4 Server, review the available deployment options based on your team size and needs.
-
Ask your P4 administrator for the following P4 Server connection information if you do not already have it:
- Server address and port
- Your username
- Your password
-
In the navigation pane, under P4 Servers, click the Add Perforce P4 Server
button.
-
In the Add Perforce P4 Server dialog box, enter the information provided by your P4 administrator:
- Server: P4 Server address and port. Example: ssl:files.wysicorp.com:1666.
- Username: Your P4 username.
- Password: Your P4 password (required). To log in using single sign-on (SSO), click Sign in with SSO. The Password field is hidden. To switch back to using a password, click Sign in with password.
-
Click Sign in.
You are logged in to P4 Server. The server is displayed in the navigation pane under P4 Servers. A green circle
icon indicates that you are connected and authenticated.
