Add files to your workspace

To start working on a project with P4 One, add the project files to your local workspace folder.

  1. Create a workspace if you have not already. See Create a workspace.

  2. If your workspace is connected to a P4 Server and the server already stores the project files, to get the latest file revisions for your project, click the Sync Changes button. Skip steps 3 and 4.

If your workspace is not connected to a P4 Server, continue with steps 3 and 4.

  3. Open the workspace folder in Finder (macOS) or File Explorer (Windows).

    • If you just created the workspace, in the file view, click Reveal in Finder (macOS) or Show in File Explorer (Windows).

    • If you previously created the workspace, in the navigation pane, click Manage. Click the arrow button next to the workspace to open it. You may also be able to click the workspace name int the Recent Workspaces list in the navigation pane to open it.

  4. Add the project files to the workspace.

The file view in P4 One automatically refreshes and shows the files you added. If the file view does not refresh, click the refresh button.
