View a preview and manage the asset

You can view a preview image of an asset directly in Helix Sync. You can also manage the asset from the preview. For example, you can sync the asset, lock and unlock the asset, and edit the asset.

1. In Helix Sync, click the project to open it, and then open the collection.

2. Click the All assets list.

3. Click the asset name.

   The most recent version of the asset on your computer is displayed in Helix Sync.

   From the asset preview:

   Task	Action
   View the asset's version number.	The asset's version number is displayed immediately in front of the asset's file name.
   View the asset's Kanban status.	The asset's Kanban status is displayed immediately under the asset's file name.
   View any user-applied tags.	The user-applied tags are displayed immediately under the asset's file name.
   Open the asset in Helix DAM to comment on it, manage tags, and change its Kanban status.	Click Open in Helix DAM below the Refresh button.
   Get the most recent version of the asset.	Click Sync below the Refresh button.
   Open the asset folder in your default file browser.	Click the vertical ellipsis below the Profile menu and click Open asset location.
   Open the asset in your default editor to work on it.	Click the vertical ellipsis below the Profile menu and click Open in default editor.
   If the asset is unlocked: Lock the asset so that other users know you are working on it.	See Lock an asset from the preview image
   If the asset is locked: Unlock the asset to make it available to other users for editing.	Click the vertical ellipsis below the Profile menu and click Unlock.
   Zoom in to or out of the asset.	Click + or - in the toolbar below the asset view.
