Clone a workspace

If you use more than one computer, you can use Helix Sync to clone your workspace so that you can work on your files from a different computer.

Note

  • You cannot have multiple copies of the same workspace on a computer.

  • Only files on the Helix Core Server are cloned. If you are working on files on the source workspace computer they will not be cloned.

  1. Open Helix Sync and log in.

  2. From the Other computers list, click the workspace you want to clone.

    3. The Select a workspace folder dialog box opens.

  3. Click Select folder and use the file browser to select a folder for your workspace. It is best to create a new folder for your workspace files.

  4. Click Download all files to create the workspace folder and download all files from the Helix Core Server to the folder. This can take a while if there are a lot of folders and files.

    Tip

    If you want to sync files later, switch the Sync now toggle off and click Skip download.
