Logging in

Before you log in for the first time, you may need to get the server information and your login credentials from your administrator.

Keep the following in mind:

• If a newer version of Helix Sync is available, you are prompted to upgrade. Click Restart Helix Sync and install the update to upgrade to the latest version.

• If Helix Sync cannot determine a character set to use, you are prompted to select one. The available character sets are configured on the Helix server (P4CHARSET). Auto chooses the P4CHARSET automatically based on your operating system. Ask your administrator for help.

1. Open Helix Sync.

2. Enter the Server to connect to. The server address must include the Helix Core server and port number. For example, server:1666.

3. Enter your Username.

4. Click Connect.

5. Enter your password and click Log in.

Helix Sync opens and displays the Workspaces list. Select a workspace to open it.
